45% Kentucky Bluegrass (2 Varieties - 1 Improved), 40% Perennial Ryegrass (2-3 Improved Varieties), 15% Creeping Red Fescue (Improved Variety).
This is the Swiss Army Knife of grass seed blends that will work for 95% of your needs. This blend establishes a durable and attractive lawn that requires average to low fertilization. We expect this to be our #1 seller replacing our previous Penn State Blend.

SAYBROOK’S LOW MAINTENANCE BLEND
Best For: High Traffic, Low Maintenance and/or Sandy Soils. Full Sun to Light Shade.
80% Tall Fescue (2 Improved Varieties), 10% Kentucky Bluegrass (Improved Variety), 10% Perennial Ryegrass (Improved Variety).
This blend provides a dark green, low maintenance, drought tolerant lawn once established. If you are dealing with sandy soils that drain super fast, we highly recommend this blend. Tall Fescue is deeper rooting than other grasses. This is an A-LIST approved blend (Alliance for Low Input Sustainable Turf). Plant before October 10th.

Best For: Shady Areas.
40% Creeping Red Fescue (2 varieties - 1 Improved), 30% Chewings Fescue (Improved Variety), 20% Perennial Ryegrass (2 Improved Varieties), 10% Kentucky Bluegrass.
When you need grass to grow in a fairly shaded area, this is your blend. High performing Creeping Red Fescue compared to less expensive mixes. Starter fertilizer is recommended, best results planting spring or fall when leaves are not blocking light. May require irrigation if competing with roots of well established trees.
